The famous line from the movie Shrek that "Ogres are like onions- they've got layers" made us smile. In truth though, we are all a little like onions (and ogres!) in that we are made up of many layers. We have layers of joy and layers of pain, as well as layers of past experiences that make us who we are. Many of us may find that our lives are affected by events, experiences and emotions that lie deep within those layers.

This fall, LIFEGroups will be attempting to pull back some layers. We will be offering a support group using the book, "Healing For Damaged Emotions" by David A. Seamands. This study is for everyone. It offers amazing tools to help us look honestly at buried layers of emotions and thoughts that have affected our relationship with God, others and even ourselves. This is a safe and confidential group setting where support, healing and growth are the priorities!!

The group experience will offer six sessions on Friday nights beginning September 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in CF Room 209A. Materials will be provided and there will be no charge for the group. Please call Dawn Spahr at (630)664-7524 for more information or to register.
